UNSCRUPULUOS DECAY

my heart is usually saddened when i see that the youth of these days dress and behave in a particular way with the intention that they are living the world. most of these youth do not know what the future holds for them with such dressings and behaviours. Listening to a friend he confidently told me a friend of his was not offered a job all because he shared a photo of a naked person on his facebook timeline. someone may think its just for fun but for the company it was real business they meant. Yesterday i was devastated to see tertiary students of a christian university, Pentecost University College dressed in a way that made me feel like coughing or vomiting all because they dressed to exposed most parts of their body and with their hair dyed in a colours of different types. I wonder what these students want to come out after their academic stay. to talk less on this i take you my own institute, the Ghana Institute of Journalism where most of the ladies dress calously to

INCOMPETENCE OF GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL

Image
i was very devastated when i heard what Stan Dogbe, the president's official in charge of media did to the GBC reporter on his interview recorded on the issue of the accident of the reporters which led to the death of Samuel Nuamah of blessed memory. i asked myself where then lies the security of some of us upcoming journalists if some of these things are happening to our elders who are already in the field. if people are facing these challenges in the media then our integrity is at stake and we are going to face so many troubles. what then is the free media ethic in the 1992 constitution of Ghana where we the media are free to operate and make criticisms and find solutions to problems. if it was in another country he would have been removed from office but here is the case it happened in our poor and corrupt country. i urge the government and corporate bodies to come and help solve such issues.

ELECTIONEERING IN GHANA

Image
it seems am amazing when someone tells you that elections in Ghana are organised freely and fair. at the just ended district level elections baffles my mind on the disqualification of some of the aspirants. one was based on age and the other being education.taking a look at the 1992 constitution of the country Ghana, though some argue that it gave a limitation on the fact that one must be below seventy years before he/she can contest in district level elections. why does that not apply to the main election, thus, the parliamentary and presidential elections. i raise this point because looking at the age of the presidential aspirant of the main opposition NPP he will two years above seventy on the election year 2016. the factor of someone being disqualified because he/she is a student is mere hypocrisy on the part of the electoral commission because it is never stated in the constitution that a student cannot contest elections in the country. i will be glad to post a challenge to th

WAEC AND ITS MENACE

The recent rumuors about the leakage of examination questions baffles my mind and i intend to question the credibility of the examination council. after the cancellation of most papers by the exams council shows their incompetence. i will be very glad if the fish are fished out and stop the harassment they are giving to teachers, parents and students. if they actually want to get the culprits that leak exams questions to candidates then the best option is to get all those that print, set, type and distribute the papers and let them cough out their activities.

LESSON TO THE GOVERNMENT

Image
the rampant strike in the country from time memorial has shown us that our governments are incompetent in their duties. today is NAGRAT, tomorrow is GNAT and all other civil service workers. i wish to express my profound gratitude to the doctors for their bold attempt to call off their strike and go back to work despite the failure of the government negotiators to come to terms with them on their conditions of services. this government is taking all civil workers for a joke or better still a ride all because  they have a good and kind heart for the citizens that they serve.  looking at the expenses of the ministers of state and other government appointees it marvels alot and it baffles my mind when they come to say they are not taking the said amount ghanaians are speculating. i pray and hope that the military and police officers do not embark on a strike all because all state ammunition are in their hands and that cause chaos.

STUDY ABROAD

Image
i wonder what has caused the vast springing up of the study abroad educational facilities? maybe it is the fact that the accreditation board does not offer them the necessary accreditation to operate or the process of acquiring the accreditation is too mean and easy going. in my thinking, i guess these people who operate these institutions are making alot of money and don not take the pain to even get accreditation and the institutions that are to see to the success of students who want to study outside ghana. some of these students are usually stranded when they get there so i want to urge the government and all other stakeholders to help that these institutions get accreditation before operating.
