THE PROBLEM WITH AFRICAN LEADRES

Clearly some months back in 2015 the minister of power of Ghana, Dr. Kwabena Donkor assured Ghanaians that he was actually going to curb away the power crisis that has crippled the economy of Ghana making it difficult for businesses to grow and promised as well to resign if he does not do so by the end of the year 2015. The fact of this matter is that the minister again has come out to state emphatically that the load shedding cannot stop completely and thus he has shifted the timeline to April next year making it difficult for Ghanaians to believe him anymore.
I clearly remember back in the days of military rule in Africa and Ghana most of these junta Leaders never wanted to step even when they failed to deliver what brought them to power. looking at the military government that toppled the civilian governments in 1966, 1972,1979 and 1981 never thought of stepping down all because the power that they enjoyed came with benefits and this is exactly what is happening in Ghana now.
The power minister in his position enjoys some benefits and hence never want to step down and continue to postpone his resignation from post as promised as this is would be the third time he has postpone it.
Someone reading this will attribute this piece as being from someone inclined with the opposition but not so, it is rather from a person, more or less a concerned citizen who takes his motherland at heart and always want to see it progress at greater heights and be seen once again as the gateway to Africa as in the days of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the darling boy who is a great hero of Africa.
