Shattered Bonds, Silent Nights
Poem by: Naa Doodua Doodu In shadows cast by bonds now torn, Once kindred spirits, now forlorn. Through trials faced, together we strode, A friendship cherished, a precious abode. Encouraging whispers in the darkest of nights, False apologies masking our inner fights. Lovers in perception, though friends in truth, Building bridges of dreams, a delicate sleuth. In our minds, an unbreakable tether, Yet a small rift caused a stormy weather. Outside your door, night after night, Silence echoed love, taking flight. Attempting to mend shattered pieces, Each effort stung, like a thousand creases. Bloodied fingers, picking up debris, Once allies, now estranged, a painful decree. From best friends to bitter enemies, A tale spun from shared memories. In the wreckage, echoes of what used to be, Yet in healing, a chance for self-discovery.
