Yuletide Renewal

Poem by Naa Doodua Doodu
On an auspicious eve, a child was to be delivered,
A mother in pain, meeting her firstborn with anticipation.
Supernatural aid brought forth a child of Salvation.

Our brother from a different mother, now from the same,
Love shared with the righteous and a sinner's heart.
Through baptism, a new name, prophet, priest, and king.

Parents prepare for the birth of our big brother each year,
Santa Claus surprises with gifts, dreams while we sleep.
Christmas, an expectation beyond life, a new birth joyfully celebrated.
