FEELING OF LOVE

Image
themes     by: KOKOIH JOHN KENNEDY (HAPHRIQA) In love I would rather see you fully gone Having you always on the tablet of my heart I forget you not Not because I can’t do without you But the sense of love makes it incomplete for me to be alone I question this feeling from the creator but no answer I can’t accept your rejection at this time When you painted an image of love in the back side of my mind You care less about my feelings When you left without a message of love Making me the laughing stalk of the society Yet I say unto you In love I would rather see you fully gone Till we meet again

A LETTER TO MY MUSLIM WOMAN

Image
themes My dear Muslim woman I believe a woman’s beauty is in her veil And how trendy her clothes are As well as the diamonds that adorns her The scarf is your glimmer and shine of your soul Never dress to please mankind but your creator In the absence of nothing you are something Your beauty is beyond comparison For goodness sake I cannot look at you twice  Behind the veil I see intense beauty Clouded with confidence So my dear Muslim woman Walk away and cover your pride for indecency pays not.

BROKEN LOVE

Image
themes  by: KOKOIH JOHN KENNEDY (HAPHRIQA) We met like the sun Meeting the moon In an eclipse situation While on a ride of peace Her appearance was neither hot nor splendid Yet her composure drew me closer To find out the beauty within her Without a doubt she was a great material It was love at first sight But time distance could not hold us together Things fell apart and the center could not hold We swayed away in each other’s pride Time could not heal our bond Today she is my past and I her past Never can I allow her love go unnoticed But now we are broken apart in love

CAPITALIST TACTICS OF NPP

Image
themes It is a fact now that the New Patriotic Party has proven beyond reasonable doubt that they are capitalist oriented party with profit and individualistic mind. Evidence from the ministerial vetting by parliament has given more details to that.  Listening keenly to all the nominated or appointed ministers they made references to investors and private individuals coming to help the projects that they will be offering to the good people of mother Ghana.  My simple question is how many state owned companies sold to private individuals have survived the thirst of time? The answer is none. This makes me wonder what good will private investors who are capitalists offer the nation, nothing but to continue with the impoverishing attitude of the West and enriching themselves with the sweat of the ordinary man of the street. My worry is that private investors have nothing good to offer the nation and the simple advice I will offer the stakeholders of mother Ghana and Africa i

A NIGHT AT SOWUTUOM

Image
themes Just as it happens in any society at night, the case of Sowutuom is quite different and exceptional with the springing up of so many slums and ghettos putting social vices on the high which in the long is affecting the morality of the  society that once housed morality in the Ga West District. Despite the fact that the Catholic church has its formation  houses for priests and friars on the hills of this geographical enclave many young ones care less about the practice of social vices which has become a normal thing of the day in the lives of pretty and attractive young adults. Parading the principal streets of the town towards the Ofankor road leading to Kumasi and the Eastern Region is where one is faced the surprise of the number of night clubs and restaurants as well as pubs housing these recalcitrant young adults who have decided to live their lives in a shabby and uncouth manner. It pains the heart most how some elders in the society fathom to the high rise

IN CREATING A DESIRABLE SOCIETY

Genesis 1:8,10, Psalm 102:19,25, Jeremiah 10:11-12 and Hebrews 1:10 make it pretty clear that “the heavens and the earth” in the manner presented in Genesis 1:1 fall short of being a single phrase referring to the universe as is the case in Ezra 5:11 and Mathew 11:25 but are rather different and distinct entities which refer to the skies on whose waters God established His abode (Psalm104:3) and the dry land on which plants, animals and humans live respectively. In spite of this, Genesis 1:1 declares that the heavens and the earth were made in a certain time called “BEGINNING.”   Also, Exodus 20:11 expresses the view that the above mentioned heavens and earth together with the seas and their entire hosts were made in a “SIX DAYS” period. In another respect, Genesis 1:3-31 describes, though sometimes not in full, how, why and when the heavens, earth, seas and their hosts were made in a “SIX DAYS” period as suggested by Exodus 20:11. From the above narrative it is suggested that th

YOUTH IN POLITICS

Image
It is yet another moment to give thanks and glory to the Almighty Yahweh for seeing Ghana through yet another elections without chaos and bad omen. Elections are made possible by campaigns altogether classified as politics. No matter what the case might be and will be in any social system even in the animals kingdom a level of political dispensation and interactions. As our elders say they youth are the future leaders pave way for this paper to be given a moment of showcase. Politics described by scholars is a way of winning and exercising political power gives room for all and sundry, most especially the youth to engage in it. Politics has been understood in our era and therefore gaining roots for them to make good and reasonable choices enough for their communities. Winning political power and exercising authority should not be the sole responsibility of the old but also the youth. This should not in any way that will bring the practice into the mud.
