Religion, colonial form in Africa

When I sat and thought of how far religion has inculcate itself into the Africa continent I wonder its impact and what it has been able to do for the ordinary african citizen. When I speak this way many people see me as a blasphemous person and a person who do not believe in God. It is not so but I see religion as a form of colonial embodiment. I am very religious but I do not believe in religion. I believe in the supreme being but the fact is, I attend church and not just that but one of the oldest churches in the world. As a Pan-African I see that religion in any form has shaped the minds of the ordinary citizen of Africa from thinking beyond the problems affecting him or her. I say so because some problems affecting the lives of the African citizen demands a revolutionary action but religion has prevented that and until we perceive Africa as the continent with greater ideas. Many of these citizens of Africa are usually making it difficult and religion of which the whites or wes

Too much bonuses for black stars

Yes, its true that in every job bonuses are sometimes necessary to boost abilities of the workers but the bonuses given to the Black stars of Ghana is too much to think about. Looking at The Three Lions of England our colonial masters their bonuses or per diem they get is low as compared to ours and they also get their payment in their native currency which is the best for them. Here we are when inflation is at its peak and yet our players are paid in the currency of United States of America, dollar. Playing in the national colours should be pride and not an avenue to amass wealth. Imagine the amount of money Gyan gets from his club and yet he still receives such an amount which impoverishes the nation. In my candid opinion the per diem should be reduced and players who are willing and ready to die for the nation to be called upon to wear the national colours. Just an opinion and a suggestion.

African Land

The land of my ancestors The great land full of happiness My glitters all day When I see my mother land Africa Beyond the seas I see greater victories Victories that troy never saw Above the mountains I feel the breeze The breeze that the coldest planet never saw Yet my people perish in abject poverty Why this misery? I foresee that this can be rubbished Only when we developed love Love that made Romeo and Juliet great Blessed is the African Land I foresee joy in the future Let's uphold peace and unity All Africa shall be the greatest continent.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MISTAKES?

themes NEVER ENTANGLE YOURSELF WITH SOMETHING THAT IS NOT YOURS. MOST OF A TIME PEOPLE TIE THEIR NECKS WITH THE QUEEN’S LANGUAGE, ESPECIALLY THOSE IN GHANA AND SOME ANGLOPHONE COUNTRIES IN AFRICA. I USUALLY FEEL PROUD OF MY NIGERIAN COUNTERPARTS WHO SPEAK WITH THEIR ACCENT AS COMPARED TO THOSE IN GHANA WHO SPEAK WITH THE SO-CALLED SLANG IN THEIR SPEECH. JUST RECENTLY I NOTICED THAT A LADY FROM GHANA BLOCKED A GUY ON SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM WHATSAPP SIMPLY BECAUSE OF GRAMMATICALLY ERROR IN HIS SENTENCE. AWAY FROM THAT, NOT LONG AGO SOME GHANAIANS INCLUDING MYSELF TOOK TO SOCIAL MEDIA TO REGISTER OUR DISPLEASURE IN THE WAY AND MANNER SOME MEDIA PUNDITS MADE FUN OF THE SPEECH OF GHANA’S RISING ACTOR, ABRAHAM ATTAH. THANKS THEY TOOK AWAY PRIDE TO APOLOGIZE FOR THEIR ACTIONS AND I HOPE THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN IN THE FUTURE. WHEN THE TIDES WERE HIGH, MANASSEH AWUNI AZURE, GHANA’S PROUD JOURNALIST TOOK TO THE ISSUE TRYING TO MAKE PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT THEY DID THAT NOT TO MOCK HIM

FACE OF GIJ AUDITIONS

Image
The auditions of Face of GIJ has ended for the 2015/2016 academic year and it was all splendid for the seventeen girls that partook as they all showed their worth and what they have got to prove their powers and talents in the field of music, dance and acting on stage and courage show. The prestigious occasion was graced by Miss Bentie Abigail Baciara, popularly known as Bacy who was crown Ghana's Most Beautiful 2014 in a toghtly contested event. The attention is not on Bacy but rather the prestigious contest or audition. Over the past, it has been that winner of Miss Akwaaba automatically vies for the Face Of GIJ pageant. Last year, the winner of Miss Akwaaba won the Face of GIJ with confidence and most students agreed that she deserved but it would a different person with such qualities could have been crowned because it is obviously becoming a tradition. Now lets move to the recent contestants who were audited. Seventeen people or let me say beautiful girls contested
