It will very difficult to let people understand that religion has no way in the African society as it goes a long way to divide the African society into classes which is against the norms and values of African society that exist long before the contact with European nations.
Yes, some will argue that religion, being it Christianity and Islam brought to the African man civilization and eradicating barbaric act. What is more barbaric than what the European nation and Arab countries with their so-called inculcated in Africa?
Religion is the basis for what we see today. The class society where we have the rich and the poor. The African man never knew division among themselves, taking the Bantu, Nubian, Ethiopian and even the Egyptian civilization brings to bear clearly that the African society was the type that made people to believe in their society and their system until the coming into being of European and Arab migrants.
I am of the believe that the many religions that came to Africa never came to enlighten us as most of the colonialists will put but rather to keep us in the dark and kill our initiatives so I hope and believe that putting aside the many foreign religions in our land behind us and practice what our forefathers did which embraced community togetherness will help move Africa to the highest height ever.
