THE PROBLEM OF LEADERSHIP

themes Leadership many claim to be in-built or born with but i dispute that fact because leadership can be emulated and learnt by others and even perform better than so-called born leaders. being a leader is not an easy task because it entails a lot and patience and other characteristics must be exhibited to move for a smooth organisation. When power is given to people to lead an organisation they usually feel that the have been given the autonomy to do or act any how in their interest and not the interest of those that gave them them the mandate to. What many leaders forget is the fact that they are accountable to the people that gives them the mandate and should not work as autocratic. these are the same people that condemn others for being autocratic but when given the opportunity they fail totally. It happened that a class in a school started an organisation and they elected leaders and  these leaders also created departments within each position to help in the manning of ac

STUDENTS POLITICS, VERY INTERESTING

themes when it comes to students' politics it entails a lot because that is where many will greet  and talk to you and humble themselves before the so-called low class or confused students just to earn trust and votes from them when the door is opened for students' election to positions. despite my single witness of tertiary elections and yet to experience a second i sometimes want to understand why such actions are taken deliberately or deliberately to win favour from  other students when all are aware that the presidency of most Students' Representative Council are sponsored by political parties in way of capturing their mandates in general elections and yet they do all of those actions even as far as shaking hands with others when in Ebola periods and other seasons where we have airborne diseases floating around. when you visit university campuses during students' election you see all kinds of banners portraying messages of aspirants but when given the opportun

themes At this juncture when Ghanaians are faced with so many challenges in economic and social life the government of the day is not sympathizing with the citizens. Labelling this article or write up to the opposition will the worse thing any person may do because this economic crisis has been the headache of many Ghanaians as well and the need to be catered for. We were informed of the automatic price adjustment formula on fuel prices and Ghanaians as calm as we are accepted the assertion due to the fact that this policy was to help developmental projects in the country. Not too long ago the minister of finance, Mr. Seth Terkper went to parliament with another policy which is the petroleum law and it was passed without a hinge. Again, the price of fuel has increased in the country at a time that fuel price has decreased at the world market and the question that is usually posed is that, is the automatic price adjustment formula not working? If yes then why the increase in fuel p

THE PROBLEM WITH AFRICAN LEADRES

Clearly some months back in 2015 the minister of power of Ghana, Dr. Kwabena Donkor assured Ghanaians that he was actually going to curb away the power crisis that has crippled the economy of Ghana making it difficult for businesses to grow and promised as well to resign if he does not do so by the end of the year 2015. The fact of this matter is that the minister again has come out to state emphatically that the load shedding cannot stop completely and thus he has shifted the timeline to April next year making it difficult for Ghanaians to believe him anymore. I clearly remember back in the days of military rule in Africa and Ghana most of these junta Leaders never wanted to step even when they failed to deliver what brought them to power. looking at the military government that toppled the civilian governments in 1966, 1972,1979 and 1981 never thought of stepping down all because the power that they enjoyed came with benefits and this is exactly what is happening in Ghana now.
