Whenever I walk through the streets of Ghana's capital Accra I count churches to the extent that I get tired and stop counting. My problem however is not with the number of churches but the number of energetic men and women found in the churches praying all times of the week.  CHURCH CONGREGATION This phenomenon has been prevalent throughout the fourth republic and maybe beyond. I do not blame them for being in the church everyday. Rather I ask why they are in the churches? They are there to pray for a breakthrough in their businesses, pray for employment and a cure to their sicknesses among many others. Why the church?  They choose the church because they have lost hope in the governments to be able to solve their problems. They tend to rely on the church with the hope of finding a remedy to their problems from God. National Identification Authority (NIA) over the years hsa been one organisation I developed love for because of their zeal to make all citizens to be recognised as a part of the nation. But that love is gradually fading over the inconsistency with issues of national interest. The first been the registration of Ghanaians unto the Ghana card somewhere 2011/2012. This came as a relief and also the timing though bad, people had to leave their various activities to get registered with political activities also on the rise. Till now, nobody can tell the whereabouts of those cards as many did not get their copy coupled with the amount and accountability of invested resources. The interest of this piece is not on the huge sum of money that is been invested in the current Ghana card project. Huge as it is, how much profit will it fetch the ordinary citizen on the street?  $1.22 billion from a registration process is outrageous and incomprehensible looking at the economic status of our country

I can not remember the very last time in a month without the nudity of another person. Ranging from the so-call celebrity to the less privilege in society all in the name of making money and becoming popular. In Ghana now, to be a celebrity in a second depends on how to sell your nudes to the society. Rashid Black Beauty became a celebrity in the single moment of time with nudes and today in the media and social media fraternity are the discussion of the nudes of a pastors wife and a nurse after the unfortunate kitchen stool leak. In the wake of time the nudity and sex tape leaks have become the order of the day. I wonder where our cultural morality has vanquished into? Most often than not, I feel the moral institutions tasked with the responsibility of shaping our attitudes towards the best societal norms are failing to live up to standards and the tasks. Where exactly is this driving at? The nature and attitude displayed by the Director-general of the Birth and Death Registry in Ghana makes it stink like the vapor evaporating from an abandoned latrine. The directive not to register certain local names because they are synonymous to titles are somehow unwarranted. Come to think of this. The registration of names like King, Queen, Prince and Princess are likewise titles. The question I like to ask is, are these allowed to be documented because of their linkage to the western world or better still our colonial masters?   These names are synonymous to Nii, Naaba, and the many others we have. I never thought of adding my voice to the discussion pertaining to the establishment of the Special Prosecutor's office and its subsequent appointment of someone to man that position. On a different look I found it valuable to add my voice to the appointment and the office. The Special Prosecutor's Office as a campaign promise by the NPP government is supposedly to tackle the menace in governance by government appointees in the area of corruption as was the characterization of the NDC government. Corruption has always been the trouble causing headache to the development agenda of the state and in an attempt I found it wise for the establishment of this office. But my problem was who is going to occupy that office? Is it going to be the same old story of party faithful appointment who will lack the "balls" to prosecute his/her own people? On a second thought I felt it was going to be a witch-hunting strategy to end the reign and voice of the main opposition part

I felt bad for the happenings of the new year when I visited the Achimota mall. What I saw was an eyesore and the spirit of renewal of vow died paving way for deep thoughts. As a concern citizen with thoughts of changing the status quo of society I felt that the worst thing to happen to Ghanaians is the celebration of new year and the building of malls in the country. To be sincere, new year day was when most young ones broke their virginity and lost their godly image to alcohol and infidelity. I am no saint but the truth about life is that occasionally actions derail the beauty of society and this day prostitution went on high leading to an almost collapse of society. The attitude of young people made me put up this little piece of advice calling it occasional prostitute and we as young ones have a lot to offer society and stop being alcoholic and sex prostitutes on any day.
